Custom Roto-Mold Inc., a rotational molder in Benson, Minn., has purchased South Dakota rotomolder Fusion Plastics in a deal completed in late 2019.
Custom Roto-Mold President Corey Claussen said Fusion has two rotomolding machines.
Claussen said Custom Roto-Mold will close the Fusion plant in Lennox, S.D., and move production into its operations in Minnesota. Claussen said his company offered employment opportunities in Benson to Fusion's 10 employees, but none took the offer to relocate.
Terms were not disclosed.
Custom Roto-Mold also has a partnership with Dutch rotomolder Pentas Moulding, to strengthen its presence in Europe.
Custom Roto-Mold currently runs 10 rotomolding machines and two computer numerically controlled trimming machines in Benson, where it has more than 100,000 square feet of space in two facilities.
