Pipeline Packaging, a distributor of rigid industrial containers based in Glenwillow, Ohio, has acquired MidStates Container Co., a news release stated.
MidStates is a full-line packaging distributor in St. Louis. Terms of the deal are not being disclosed. The acquisition will "consolidate supply lines and leverage the two companies to allow for geographic expansion in the Midwest," the release noted.
"This is an exciting new opportunity to expand our market and services in major cities in the Midwest," Pipeline president Chris Nelson said in the release. "We envision a strong presence in cities such as St. Louis, Kansas City, Des Moines, Chicago, and Memphis."
Pipeline is a subsidiary of the Cleveland Steel Container, which also owns Coexcell Inc. of Maumee, Ohio, a blow molder of plastic drums.
