An accident at automotive supplier and injection molder DK Manufacturing resulted in a fatality March 25 in Frazeysberg, Ohio.
Authorities received the emergency call at 5:09 a.m., Brady Hittle, detective sergeant for the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office told Plastics News in an email.
Since the accident remains under investigation, the sheriff's office declined to comment further on the incident.
The victim of the accident, and an employee of DK Manufacturing, 46-year-old John LeMaster, died shortly after 5 a.m., according to a report by the Zanesville Times Recorder.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will also be involved in the investigation, the report said.
DK Manufacturing is a custom injection molder of primarily automotive parts and components. It has facilities in Frazeyburg and Lancaster, Ohio and employs more than 200 nonunion employees operating 36 injection molding machines, its website says.
