Duna-Corradini SpA's U.S. operations, Duna-USA, has added a low-density production line to its Baytown, Texas, facility. It has also purchased another 6 acres at the site, and Duna Group President Marta Brozzi anticipates construction will begin there in the near future.
The company claims the new production line reduces waste and allows block profiles to be optimized and product consistency increased. Production controls and safety capabilities are also improved.
"With the completion of our recent expansions, and the addition of critical technology and equipment, customer demand and growth opportunities have increased greatly," said Duna-USA CEO Andrea Benedetti. "Purchasing additional land will prove vital to streamlining our operations and consolidating our production, fabrication, packaging and storage processes."
Its products include Corafoam polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams. These are sold for to broad range of end-users, including aerospace, mechanical insulation, LNG, automotive and signage industries.
In addition to Texas, the company also has production in Ludington, Mich.
