An employee was killed in an accident at a plastic films plant in Mountain Top, Pa., on June 19.
Iris Adams was working at a plant operated by i2M when the accident happened. The cause of death was blunt abdominal trauma and the death was ruled accidental, according to a spokesperson for the Luzerne County coroner's office.
Officials with i2M could not be reached for comment. According to the firm's website, i2M makes a range of flexible films for decorative, heavy duty and precision applications.
In July 2022, i2M owner Christopher Hackett acquired the assets of bankrupt housewares maker Home Products International Inc. of Chicago for $4.7 million. Hackett made the acquisition through a company named i2Poly Inc.
