TC Transcontinental Packaging Inc. is expanding and adding 50 jobs in Clinton, Mo.
The expansion is TCTP's second in two years and will further expand its food packaging operations, officials said in a news release.
"Missouri is home to global leaders across various industries, and we're proud to provide companies like TCTP with a solid foundation for success," Gov. Mike Parson said in a news release.
Construction is under way to add 105,000 square feet to TCTP's existing Clinton facility. When completed in late 2023, the 225,000-square-foot, manufacturing plant will serve as one of the firm's "flagship operations," officials said. Montreal-based TCTP is Canada's largest commercial printing and packaging firm.
"We have a strong culture of performance, innovation, respect and teamwork at TCTP Clinton," Senior Vice President Jeff Lasley said. "Our work force is dedicated, hardworking and agile. Our team has earned this investment by laying the groundwork for growth."
He added that TCTP "has been a member of the Clinton community for over 27 years. … We are passionate about continuing to support families in need and community youth through our participation in over 30 events and charities."
For the expansion, TCTP used the Missouri Works Program, which helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholding or tax credits for job creation.
