A Nexcycle Innovations employee died in an on-the-job incident in Brampton, Ontario on Aug. 28 and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Canadian Occupational Safety.
The Ontario Ministry of Labor, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) is investigating the incident but has declined to provide further information.
"We are unable to disclose any more information regarding the facility or the incident at this time," a MLITSD representative told Plastics News.
MLITSD has issued 19 orders and one requirement. When there has been a law violated, orders can be issued to the employer, supervisor or employees to come back to compliance.
If there is a need to gather more information, a requirement is issued.
