Quebec flexible packaging company Gelpac Inc. is expanding a plant that makes multiwall paper bags.
Marieville, Quebec-based Gelpac announced July 13 that it is investing $5 million in equipment for its headquarters plant, which makes high-performance bags for food, chemical and construction customers.
The 60-year-old company also has polyethylene film plants in Farnham, Quebec; Brampton, Ontario; and Haverhill, Mass.
In a news release, President and CEO Alain Robillard said: "Strong of the steadfast trust of our numerous clients and the enthusiasm and loyalty of our personnel, Gelpac is proud of its significant contribution to North American job growth with this major investment."
