German vinyl window and door maker Gealan Window Systems Inc. is opening its first location in the U.S., selecting a site in Heath, Ohio, for its U.S. headquarters.
The plans for a U.S. site were released as one of a series of economic development projects approved by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA).
The global company, Gealan Fenster-Systeme GmbH, is based in Oberkotzau, Germany, has been owned by another German firm, Veka Group, since 2014.
Gealan officials expect to create 27 full-time jobs, generating more than $2.1 million in new annual payroll.
The TCA approved a 1.2 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
It was one of five projects from plastics industry companies with tax credits approved by the authority.
Provia Payroll LLC, a building product manufacturer, expects to create 300 full-time positions, generating $19.6 million in new annual payroll as a result of its new locations in Dalton and Sugar Creek.
Provia produces entry door systems, windows, vinyl siding, manufactured stone, and stamped steel roofing.
The proposed project includes the previously-announced acquisition and expansion of existing facilities to increase production of entry doors and enable the company to expand.
The TCA approved a 1.67 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
In Northwest Ohio, Creative Liquid Coatings Inc. expects to create 50 full-time positions, generating $3 million in new annual payroll as it expands in Montpelier.
The company specializes in injection molded parts and paint finishes for the heavy trucking industry.
The proposed project will meet increased demand and introduce new technologies, such as advanced paint and injection molding lines.

Also, in Northwest Ohio, Intraplas Packaging Solutions Inc. expects to create 54 full-time positions, generating more than $2.7 million in new annual payroll with a new location in Van Wert.

In southeast Ohio, Plaskolite LLC expects to create 38 full-time jobs that generate $2.2 million in new annual payroll when it expands in Perry Township.
Plaskolite manufactures thermoplastic sheet materials such as acrylic and polycarbonate for a variety of applications including windows, doors and lighting.
The proposed project includes acquiring a new facility to consolidate several manufacturing operations in one, resulting in increased production for the company.
