Eden Prarie, Minn.-based rigid plastic container suppler Savillex LLC has acquired ONFAB Ltd. to expand its manufacturing footprint internationally.
"The combination of Savillex and ONFAB enable us to offer a broader range of container and containment solutions to our customers by combining our complementary engineering and production capabilities and product portfolios," Steve Harding, president of Savillex, said in a Nov. 7 news release.
The acquisition includes ONFAB's flexible containment equipment portfolio and facilities in the United Kingdom and Spain.
The seller was Manchester, England-based private equity firm Foresight Group LLP, which first invested in ONFAB in 2017. Terms were not disclosed.
Middlewich, England-based ONFAB makes plastic enclosures used to manufacture small molecule and biopharmaceutical drugs. The disposable systems reduce manufacturing costs by minimize cleaning, validation and equipment change-out.
Savillex makes rigid containers, custom containers, and closed mixing systems for global pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and contract manufacturing markets. It has in-house tooling, injection molding and stretch blow molding.
Seville did not respond to requests for comment by Plastics News.
