Miami — Advances in parts handling and recycling are making it easier for plastics processors to reuse scrap.
Miami-based machinery and auxiliary equipment sales organization Globeius Inc. will display the latest technology at the Injection Molding & Design Expo, scheduled for May 25-26 in Detroit. Globeius will put a spotlight on the Crizaf Model S4600 Roller Separator at the show, alongside its Moditec G3 grinder.
"Molders are looking for ways to incorporate regrind materials into their operations more than ever. Our products allow closed-loop solutions that allow them to sort, grind and reuse their plastics scrap," Globeius General Manager Graeme Sands said in a news release.
The Crizaf technology provides an easy way to separate runners, parts and sprues.
The Moditec G3 model is a slow-speed granulator that can grind all types of plastics, even engineering grades like glass-filled nylon, ABS, PC and PBT.
The grinders work beside the press and provide quiet and clean operations, according to Globeius. Unlike other grinders, the Moditec machines provide a virginlike quality regrind with no dust, the company adds.
