Germany's Hahn Group GmbH has built a global engineering and automation company, largely through acquisitions.
Now the company is merging those automation companies into one brand.
Hahn Automation Group US announced July 16 that it is pursuing a new unified approach in the United States as well as the group's 22 global locations.
The automation-related brands that are part of the new unit are Invotec, Hahn Automation, REI Automation and Hahn Plastics Automation.
Invotec and Hahn Plastics Automation were the first to form the new Miamisburg, Ohio-based legal entity.
"By combining our expertise and capacities, we are able to take on large, complex projects and act as a true global solution partner for our customers," said Philipp Unterhalt, co-CEO of Hahn Automation Group.
The former Invotec Ohio facility will continue to be the global lead plant for medical technology customers within the Hahn group. The facility will specialize in custom assembly, test and inspection equipment for medical device manufacturers.
The group's companies formerly known as Hahn Automation US and REI Automation will refine their focus on automotive and electronics.
The Rheinböllen, Germany-based company also said the new setup will strengthen sales and service to former Hahn Plastics Automation customers.
"Customers can expect a comprehensive range of technologies, spanning material handling, assembly, testing and inspection, packaging, and digitalization," said Noah Smith, vice president of commercial management and development for Hahn.
