Times of transition inevitably arrive at many companies, whether it is a possible leadership change, corporate directional shift or the opening of new markets or facilities. For many companies, this also means a shift in leadership strategy or approach.
At the 2024 Plastics News Executive Forum, to be held March 12-13, 2024, at the Wyndham Grand in Clearwater Beach, Fla., the topic of transition will be explored from the vantage point of plastics industry leaders. These compelling presentations will provide insights into how to success and grow a business in the face of change.
Among the presentations worth noting is a keynote address from Jason Sauey, chairman and CEO of The Nordic Group of Companies and its flagship plastics molder, Flambeau. Jason, who comes from a long family line at Flambeau, will touch on finding the right blend of products and markets for creating enduring success across decades. For the Nordic Group, that has included the purchase of Duncan Toys, the famous yo-yo brand, and entering markets for medical and outdoor products.
The Executive Forum will also feature special addresses from two other industry leaders. Paul Manley, president and CEO of MGS Mfg. Group, will showcase how his company listened to its customer base and shifted strategy into becoming a significant supply source for major health care OEMs. And Jeff Somple, president of Mack Molding, will pinpoint keys to an effective transition that will touch on succession planning and the need to carry on company culture and legacy.
Finally, the conference will open with Maureen Steinwall, CEO and co-owner of Steinwall Inc. and volunteer president of the Plastics Hall of Fame (of which she is one of its only female members), will provide an urgent overview of top needs and priorities for companies in a turbulent time and how to maintain optimism for growth.
