New Delhi-based Plastic Component Industries will invest C$4 million (US$3.1 million) in its first North American automotive parts manufacturing facility in Ontario.
The plant is expected to create 80 jobs over the next three years, according to a Dec. 9 new release.
"We are thrilled to be a part of one of the most stable, innovative and welcoming eco systems," Nirantar Kumar Dhupar, managing director of PCI said in the release. "We realized that this ecosystem has all the key ingredients and support from the government for our business to flourish and succeed."
PCI did not respond to multiple inquiries for comment by Plastics News, including where exactly the facility will be located or when it is expected to be operational.
"The investment will help to strengthen the company's global footprint by catering to Ontario's resilient automotive sector," the release said.
PCI supplies injection molded plastic and sheet metal components for customer including Toyota, MG Motors and Maruti Suzuki.
