Fibertech Inc. has installed a new rotational molding machine, its fourth, and announced it will be adding 10 full-time employees to its current staff of 130.
The Rotoline 260 carousel machine will allow Fibertech to expand its custom work in small and medium-size parts, the company said in a recent news release. Fibertech produces polyethylene bulk containers, plastic pallets, laundry carts, storage lockers and pallets.
The company, which operates one plant in Elberfeld, Ind., reported 2019 sales of $15 million. It ranked No. 34 in Plastics News' most recent survey of North American rotomolders.
Fibertech was founded in 1999. In 2010, it relocated from Huntingburg, Ind., to Elberfeld. It expanded that facility in 2015, adding 45,000 square feet to bring the total size to 125,000 square feet.
The company's proprietary materials-handling containers and pallets are certified by the Food and Drug Administration and Department of Agriculture for food use. Fibertech also manufactures containers that meet Department of Transportation standards for materials transport. It serves the automotive, pharmaceutical, health-care, maritime, agriculture, recreation and other industries.
The company also repairs plastic materials-handling products, and recycles large industrial containers by grinding and pulverizing the material into feedstock.
