Windsor, Ontario — Auto supplier Plasman Group is uniting all of its operating businesses under one name.
Plasman will now cover divisions that previously were named A-Brite Plating, A.P. Plasman, Build-A-Mold, Plastal and Thermotech. Plasman will continue to be headquartered in Windsor.
The company is an injection molder supplying exterior trim, bumper fascia, interior systems and sub-components and recently expanded into the medical device and biotech industries. It also has in-house tooling dating to its original business, Build-A-Mold.
"It is not only about the name change, but an opportunity to reflect on everything our history has afforded us and everything we aspire to become," CEO David Wiskel said.
Plasman recently opened a new factory in Gothenburg, Sweden, to makes its Omniluxe-brand chrome alternative products. Plasman picked up operations in Sweden and elsewhere in Europe with its acquisition of Plastal in 2016.
Plasman operates in nine countries with more than 4,000 employees. It is owned by Dallas-based Insight Equity.
