Netstal Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Swiss injection molding machine maker Netstal Group, has opened a North American headquarters in Hebron, Ky.
The facility currently houses the administrative hub for the U.S. and Canada and a growing inventory of spare parts. A machine demonstration area and space for refurbishing presses are in the planning stages.
Näfels, Switzerland-based Netstal Maschinen AG builds injection molding machines with clamping forces between 80 and 1,000 tons for the packaging, medical and beverage markets, including PET-Line-brand preform systems for up to 144 cavities.
At the U.S. base, the staff handles field service, applications development and sales.
"The whole team is excited about relaunching the brand synonymous with high-speed, high-precision molding," Netstal Inc. President Doug Haberman said in a news release.
Netstal has been part of the Munich-based KraussMaffei Group since 1992, and for a brief period it was called KraussMaffei High Performance AG. But the Netstal name proved its staying power and the independent unit was renamed in October 2021.
Netstal has more than 500 employees globally and is certified for ISO 9001. The company is a subsidiary of China National Chemical Corp.
"Netstal Inc.'s team is committed to delivering levels of service and spare parts responsiveness commensurate to the world's fastest injection molding machinery," Haberman said. "I believe in leading from the front and will find time to meet and interact with our customers as strong customer relationships are a core part of the culture we are building."
