With a $21 million investment, Junchuang North America Inc. is bringing its precision plastics molding and LSR solutions for the EV market to Fort Worth, Texas.
Junchuang has secured an existing 55,000-square-foot manufacturing and industrial facility at an industrial park in the southern area of Forth Worth for the brownfield project.
The facility — to feature specialty precision plastics molding and liquid silicone rubber product manufacturing — is expected to create more than 120 jobs over the next several years.
"Fort Worth offers a strategic location with a robust business environment and a skilled work force," said Vinson Yang, president and CEO of Junchuang North America Inc. "The city's commitment to supporting technological advancements and sustainable solutions aligns perfectly with our vision.
"We are excited to establish our presence here and contribute to the growth of the local economy."
The Fort Worth plant will offer "cutting-edge solutions" to the EV market, specifically using high tonnage injection molding, complex insert molding and LSR assembly for EV electronics, drivetrains and batteries.
The company plans to leverage plastic over the use of steel.
