Milacron Holdings Corp. could be considering a sale of its Cimcool fluid technology unit, according to a June 28 Bloomberg news report.
The report cited unnamed sources and said the company is working with an adviser to look at various options for the business.
A Milacron spokeswoman said July 1 the company had no comment.
"As a company policy, Milacron does not comment on rumors or speculation," Lacy Wise, corporate communications manager for the Cincinnati-based plastics equipment maker, said in an emailed statement to Plastics News. "The company is committed to acting in the best interests of its shareholders, customers and employees."
The Cimcool division makes a complete line of synthetic and semisynthetic coolants and lubricants used in metalworking applications for industrial machinery. Products include precision metal removal fluids, rust preventatives and other specialty fluids.
