The company, which applies proprietary coatings and finishes to molds to prevent corrosion, abrasion and wear, has built a culture that prioritizes work-life balance, continuous learning and a sense of belonging.
Many of Bales' employees have been with the company for more than a decade.

The company was founded in 1978 by Steve and Mike Bales, who both worked out of a small residential garage. It's now led by Steve's daughters, President Stacey Bales and Vice President Sara Mortensen.
