Mill Point Capital LLC, a middle-market private equity firm, has purchased Nursery Supplies Inc., a recycler and manufacturer of horticulture containers and trays.
Kissimmee, Fla.-based Nursery Supplies has plants in Pennsylvania, Florida, Oregon and California. Its capabilities include blow molding, pressure forming, injection molding and vacuum forming, and it recycles more than 40 million pounds of plastic annually.
The company says it was the first producer of plastic containers for the nursery industry. It began as an offshoot of a New Jersey farmers' cooperative.
New York-based Mill Point bought the company from Lincolnshire Management Inc. Terms were not disclosed.
"NSI is poised to continue its track record of profitable growth under its new partnership," NSI President and CEO Brad Andersen said in an April 3 news release.
Last month a fire destroyed 5 acres of plastic pots at NSI's Kissimmee location. The fire burned for 13 hours and took more than 70 firefighters from Osceola and Orange counties to contain it. There were no injuries.
