AMfg Labs LLC, an advanced manufacturing, research and development center, has invested over $1.1 million to expand its operations in Barnesville, Ohio in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development and Belmont County Port Authority.
AMfg focuses on injection molding and 3D printing with high-performance materials. The expansion will go toward 3D printers, injection molding machines, composite fabrication, sintering and a training center to support the company's growth and demand.
AMfg is newer company, opening in 2022 in Barnesville. It focuses on producing molds or structures that are key to making intricate composites materials for aerspace, defense and the auto industry.
A $350,000 JobsOhio Revitalization Grant supported the investment and will create 15 new jobs.
"This support will significantly enhance our ability to advance cutting-edge manufacturing solutions here at AMfg Labs," said Luke Phalen, chief operating officer of AMfg Labs, in a news release.
"The revitalization of its current building will allow AMfg to expand operations, create new jobs in the advanced manufacturing space and continue to advance its cutting-edge injection molding and 3D printing solutions for its growing list of clients," said J.P. Nauseef, president and CEO of JobsOhio.
