Atlanta-based Oldcastle APG acquired two vinyl fence and rail manufacturing plants from Eastern Wholesale Fence LLC to expand its geographical footprint, capabilities and product portfolio.
The acquired extrusion operations in Calverton, N.Y., and Salisbury, N.C., produce a wide range of vinyl fencing and railing branded as EverStrong Profiles.
"By leveraging the vinyl extrusion facilities of EverStrong Profiles, we will be in an even stronger position to provide top-quality service and products to our new and existing customers in key markets along the East Coast," Oldcastle APG President Tim Ortman said in a news release.
Going forward, Oldcastle will serve as the primary supplier of rail and fence profiles to Eastern Wholesale Fence's distribution business, which is being retained by Center Rock Capital Partners.
The integration of EverStrong Profiles into Oldcastle fence, rail and decking business will expand the visibility and accessibility of the product lines, the release says.
This acquisition is another step Oldcastle officials are taking to provide end-to-end outdoor living products.
The manufacturer's other brands MoistureShield decking; Catalyst Fence Solutions, Belgard and Echelon masonry materials; Sakrete and Amerimix packaged concrete and mortar; and other landscape and gardening products.
With estimated sales of $180 million, MoistureShield ranks 35th among North American pipe, profile and tubing extruders, according to Plastics News' latest ranking.
