Patrick Industries Inc. has kept up its rapid pace of acquisitions, buying Alpha Systems LLC, a maker of thermoplastic polyolefin membrane roofs for recreational vehicles and other plastics for RVs.
Terms were not disclosed. Alpha, which also has rotational blow and injection molding, had $158 million in sales for the 12-month period ending March 31, Patrick Industries said in announcing it had completed the acquisition.
Both companies are based in the RV manufacturing hub of Elkhart, Ind.
"We are extremely excited to partner with David Smith and the team at Alpha, whose premium brand offers both new product entry points into the end markets we serve and the opportunity to continue to bolster our competitive edge through the utilization of Alpha's capacity, advanced technology and extensive R&D capabilities," Andy Nemeth, president and CEO of Patrick, said in a May 3 news release.
Beyond its TPO roofs. Alpha rotomolds and blow molds RV storage tanks; injection molds shutters, vents, skylights and other custom products; and makes adhesives and tapes.
"Alpha's broad array of products adds scale and complements our current portfolio offering with bolt-on product line extensions," Nemeth said in the release. "In addition, their local footprint and well-respected sales and marketing team offer opportunities to expand our aftermarket presence as well as our platform, brand, and distribution network.
