DeGraff, Ohio-based PCPI Plastics LLC has acquired Gloucester, Mass.-based Sonolite Plastics Corp.'s injection molded medical product line.
The acquisition included Sonolite tooling and injection molding presses related to the product line, Tom Fussner, equity partner at PCPI, told Plastics News in an email.
"We are pleased to add a pharmaceutical product line to our portfolio, especially one that delivers an important family of prescription medications to a worldwide customer base," Fussner said in a news release.
PCPI will incorporate production of the medical products into its facility northwest of Columbus, Ohio, and retain the Sonolite brand name.
It declined to comment on the share acquisition price or the specifics of the medical product line.
Plastics-focused investment banking firm MBS Advisors represented Sonolite in the transaction.
PCPI supplies injection molded components to aerospace, medical, infrastructure, general industrial, automotive, and electrical systems customers. The company was previously known as Precision Custom Products Inc.
