Pexco LLC, North America's largest custom industrial extruder, has kept its shopping spree alive by acquiring NDM Marking Systems Inc., a maker of traffic markers based in Jasper, Ga.
No purchase price was included in a Jan. 31 news release announcing the deal. Atlanta-based Pexco has made multiple acquisitions since 2009, including six since being acquired by private equity firm AEA Investors in 2018.
NDM was founded in 2015. Its products are used by transportation authorities, utility companies and contractors.
In the release, Pexco CEO Sam Patel said that his firm "remains firmly committed to the ongoing search for acquisitions that fit our core objectives and expand our suite of capabilities as the largest custom plastics solutions provider in North America."
"We are very excited about the NDM acquisition, as it will open new opportunities for Pexco's traffic division," he added. The NDM acquisition "made perfect sense, as it filled a gap in our product offering."
Pexco had made two deals in the second half of 2019, buying Bally, Pa.-based HPE Extrusion Solutions and completing a combined deal for American Extruded Plastics Inc. and American Injection Molding Inc., two firms that operate from a shared facility in Greensboro, N.C.
With estimated sales of $210 million, Pexco ranks 22nd among North American pipe, profile and tubing extruders, according to the latest Plastics News ranking. The company has plants in the U.S. and Mexico extruding and injection molding plastic products for industrial, lighting, traffic safety, fence, filtration and electrical insulation markets.
