Plastics News will show non-market price adjustments on polyethylene and PVC in our Jan. 18 print issue.
Prices for all grades of high, low and linear low density polyethylene will be revised downward by 30 cents per pound on the resin pricing chart. Prices for suspension PVC will be revised downward by 15 cents.
The 30-cent adjustment doesn't apply to LLDPE butene-1 comonomer extrusion liner film grades. PN prices for these grades are accurate at their current levels, according to market sources.
Plastics News' previous downward nonmarket adjustment for PE took place in February 2018. Prices for suspension PVC last were revised downward in January 2016.
Non-market adjustments reflect changes in prices paid by resin buyers outside of those caused by supply, demand or feedstocks.
