Plastifab Industries Inc. is acquiring a product line from R&M Plastics Products Ltd.
The purchase of R&M's Pole Line division, which makes guards and other products for utility poles and lines, enhances Plastifab's product line to serve a broader market, the company said.
Manufacturing of Pole Line products will be integrated into Plastifab's Montreal plant.
"This acquisition marks a significant step forward for Plastifab as we continue to expand our presence in North America. R&M's Pole Line Protective Guard business has a long-standing history of delivering high-quality plastic extrusion products to a loyal customer base," said Plastifab CEO Ryan Antoniadis in a statement.
Dan Ritchie is former president of R&M Plastics, and he joins Plastifab to handle product sales for Pole Line. "Dan's industry expertise and deep knowledge of the product line will help ensure a smooth transition for customers and continued growth for the brand," Plastifab said.
Plastifab Industries makes plastic products through extrusion and injection molding and provides secondary operations and has locations in both the United States and Canada.
The company is owned by Regimen Equity Partners, a private equity firm.
R&M Plastic Products is based in Barrie, Ontario, and Plastifab is headquartered in Saint-Laurent, Quebec.
