Naples, Fla. — Engineering resins distributor PolySource has expanded its geographic reach to include service from several warehouses in Europe.
"One of our strengths has been developing business with multinational and global companies," President Grant John said in an interview with Plastics News at the recent PN Executive Forum in Naples, Fla.
"We wanted to be able to provide service from other countries, since those companies are already there," he added.
Officials with Independence, Mo.-based PolySource said in a news release that with the expansion into Europe, engineering and development teams at the firm's global customers "can now collaborate more broadly with our technical and sales teams on new applications that extend outside the U.S. market."
They added that strategic partner warehouses were required to offer real-time data sharing, re-packaging/bulk handling, cleanliness and ISO 9001 accreditation. PolySource now uses warehouses in The Netherlands, Italy and Lithuania.
The firm began shipping materials to Europe in April 2019, with bulk truck shipment beginning in July 2019.
John and vice president Damien Couch acquired PolySource from founder Greg Jacobson in August 2019. Jacobson had launched the firm in 2000.
PolySource was named to Plastics News' Best Places to Work competition in 2017 and 2019. The firm also has made the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies five times.
PolySource distributes a wide range of engineered resins for plastic processors serving multiple market segments. The firm also provides customers with application development methods to solve material challenges.
