Houston-based Texas Injection Molding LLC believes that a world-class custom injection molding company is built upon three things: people, process control and technology.

At Texas Injection Molding's 10-year anniversary celebration, employees on all three shifts enjoyed food and music.

When a staff member is selected as an Employee of the Month, they receive $50 and a caricature of themselves with their favorite hobbies to display at the facility. Meeting attendance and safety goals yield gift raffles and lunches.

Texas Injection Molding's 90,000-square-foot Houston facility has 30-plus injection molding machines that range from 55 to 1,350 tons as well as a technical center and tool shop for mold repair and maintenance. The company was founded in 2013 by CEO Jeff Applegate with the goal of building a world-class regional custom injection molding company in the south-central United States. Applegate has served two terms as the president of the Society of Plastics Engineers' South Texas section.

With an estimated $30 million in related sales, the company is listed on Plastics News' most recent ranking of injection molders at No. 207.
