Pyrowave Inc., a Montreal company that depolymerizes plastics using microwave technology to break them down into monomers, was named one of 14 cleantech companies in Canada which will leverage $46 million in funding from Sustainable Development Technology Canada to bring new technologies to market.
The Jan. 15 announcement came from Navdeep Bains, minister of innovation, science and economic development. Pyrowave gets $3.2 million to expand its technology of chemical plastic-to-plastic recycling of mixed plastics.
