Redline Plastics said it has created a culture full of positive, intelligent people with direct language and a sense of humor. Those characteristics are evident in its cultural behaviors, launched in 2021 — 14 behaviors it wants its employees to exhibit.
Those behaviors? "Redline Plastics is breaking the mold of the classic manufacturing environment. They have created a refreshing culture by hiring great people to work with who treat each other like they want to be treated. To foster this type of behavior, the company works to use unconventional graphics, photography and language to better connect with employees," the company said in its Best Places to Work submission.
The Manitowoc, Wis.-based rotational molder and vacuum former covers a large portion of medical coverage premiums for employees and their dependents. An on-site nurse is available to all employees for work-related and personal health issues. Health savings accounts are given a $100 company match per year.
Redline partners with the local drug court programs to support the recovery process and staffing agencies that employ candidates who only speak Spanish. The company said there has been a "diligent push" to convert communications to Spanish.
Asked what they love about Redline, employees said "they treat us like adults" and there are "awesome teammates" and "great supervisors to work with."
