Following up on its announcement earlier this year to open a Digital Innovation Lab in Boston, Rosti Group, a European contract manufacturer with headquarters in Malmö, Sweden, has now made two key appointments to management roles in the U.S.
The company has named Ron Maddocks as regional technical director and Steve Dei Rossi as its new regional sales director.
Steve Dei Rossi brings more than 12 years of experience in industrial client management and business development to his role at Rosti. He previously has also served as a military police officer in the U.S. Navy.
“Our early-stage development is to build the Rosti Group reputation in America to be as popular, trusted and respected as it is in the United Kingdom, Europe, China and Southeast Asia," he said. "Rosti has established a beachhead now in America, and I look forward to playing my part to serve our growing client base to help them access our worldwide capabilities.”
Previously a Rosti client, Maddocks has worked in the industry since 1995 at a number of engineering and plastics companies.
Founded in 1944, Rosti, which has eight manufacturing plants in Europe and Asia serving the medical, packaging and consumer goods industries, is looking to expand its U.S. client base. The Boston lab will be connected to Rosti labs overseas, creating a U.S.-based portal to the rest of Rosti’s global manufacturing sites to provide 24/7 development capability, said Maddocks.
He added he was "excited to be a key member of the growing team at Rosti here in the United States."
Advances in 3D printing and other additive manufacturing technologies have reduced development time for custom tooling, prompting Rosti Group to commit to a 72-hour concept-to-reality turnaround time frame. The group is now underpinning that commitment by this investment in the establishment of a senior team based in America, under the management of the Asia based leadership.
Rosti has an injection mouding facility in Gislaved, Sweden, and other plants in Germany, the United Kingdom, Romania, Poland, Turkey, China and Malaysia. Its operations in Malaysia were recently awarded Platinum by the America based Responsible Business Alliance. The company says it employs about 3,200 people.
Rosti is owned by the family-controlled investment company Nordstjernan.
