Latta, S.C. — Rotational molder Diversified Plastics Inc. has equipped its facility in Social Circle, Ga., with a new oven to increase production capacity for material handling carts and storage containers.
Founded in 1976, Latta-based DPI has 25 product lines, including material handling carts for the industrial, textile, hospitality, laundry, agricultural and marine industries as well as containers and totes for recycling and storage at offices, restaurants, sports venues, stadiums, apartments and condominium complexes.
The new oven — a Rotoline CR 4.1 — has the capability to manufacture all of the company's product lines in an efficient manner, according to DPI Vice President Scott Oaks.
"We are enthusiastic to introduce the new rotational molding oven to our facility," Oaks said in a news release. "It will help us to manufacture our plastic products more efficiently and allow us to expand our product lines."
DPI's product mix also includes plastic utility carts, laundry carts, tote boxes, round containers, spring platform trucks, tilt trucks and more.
DPI opened the Social Circle facility in the summer of 2020 to replace its Union Point, Ga., facility.
DPI ranks No. 41 in the most recent Plastics News survey of rotomolders in North America with $13.3 million in annual sales.
