Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio — Rubber & Plastics News will present its International Silicone Conference in a virtual format rather than an in-person event because of the continuing health concerns and travel restrictions brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
The conference had been scheduled for Nov. 9-10, but now will be presented online Nov. 10-12. Registration is free through Oct. 9.
The International Silicone Conference will have 17 virtual sessions featuring 14 speakers during the three-day event. Highlights include:
- Individual presentations on environmental and regulatory issues, design, safety, tools and troubleshooting, and the use of silicone in medical and health care markets;
- Special presentations on the economic outlook and forecast for the global silicone industry; and
- "Ask the Expert" lunchtime Livestreams featuring silicone industry experts.
For those already registered for the conference, the registration automatically will be transferred for the virtual format, and any registration fees will be refunded to the credit card on file.
The agenda for the virtual event — co-organized with Shin-Etsu Silicones of America and Wacker Chemical Corp. — will be updated soon on the conference website.
