Saip s.u.r.l., the Italy-based polyurethane machinery maker, has announced plans to open a new warehouse and technology hub in Columbus, Ohio, in a strategy it said will create a U.S. market making up 30 percent of its sales in two years time.
"As complete turnkey solutions in the PU industry are gaining traction, I believe our portfolio will fit the rapidly evolving needs of this growing market," President Walter Pozzi said.
He added that the new facility will complement the company's activities across the Atlantic. The company provided no further details on the site.
"Saip is already a player in North America, in different fields, such as insulated metal panels, commercial refrigeration panels and technical articles," he said.
A team of engineers and technicians will support U.S. sales, according to commercial director, Luca Ceresa. His goal is to create a "network of solid, and complementary partnerships that will provide broad access across the North American market."
