The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) has announced a call for entries for its biennial thermoforming division parts competition. The deadline for the submissions is May 5, 2025.
Entries will be on display in the exhibit hall during the 30th SPE Thermoforming Conference, scheduled for May 19-21 at the Cobb Galleria and Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta. Winners will be honored during the SPE Thermoforming Awards Dinner on May 20.
This year, SPE has added a new category to feature innovation in thermoforming parts used in assemblies.
"These parts typically mate with other parts made from different processes and may include features such as screens, electrical components and attachment points, for example," said Travis Kieffer, 2025 SPE Thermoforming Conference Parts Competition chair. "Parts have more complex assemblies designed to add value to the customer, but they often present challenges. We want to help companies showcase their achievements during our conference."
Other categories for the competition include roll-fed, heavy-gauge, production parts for 3D printed tooling, sustainable thermoforming and parts produced for electric vehicle and battery applications.
The competition guidelines and required product entry can be found at https://thermoformingdivision.com/parts-competition/guidelinesentry-form/. All product images and descriptions should be emailed to Travis Kieffer at [email protected] by the May 5 deadline.
