StackTeck Systems Ltd., which makes molds and automation systems, is adding to the company's preform testing services by installing an injection molding machine and dryer at the company.
The Brampton, Ontario-based company added a Netstal PET-Line 5000 system to mold preforms that is integrated with a high-capacity Piovan dryer. This new equipment adds to existing testing machines at the StackTeck TeckCenter.
"This investment shows our serious commitment to the PET preform marketplace, our customers, and to our continuous innovation in part quality and productivity," StackTeck CEO Vince Travaglini said in a statement. "While we have been working in this market for some time now, this initiative represents a significant step forward in addressing the needs of our customers."
Rick Unterlander is PET general manager at StackTeck.
"Using the Netstal PET-LINE 5000, molds up to 144 cavities can be tested and qualified, providing our customers with production ready systems. In addition, our new test lab will accelerate our PET preform mold R&D initiatives going forward," he said in a statement.
