Injection mold maker Stellar Mold & Tool Inc. will permanently close its facility in Galesville, Wis., due to a "decision to discontinue the product line" manufactured at the location.
The closure will eliminate 22 hourly positions, according to an Aug. 3 notice to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
Stellar Mold will terminate positions "in phases," which have already begun, the notice said. It expects to complete the closure by Aug. 31.
With $3.3 million in annual sales, Stellar Mold ranks 104th mold and tool producers in North America, according to Plastics News' latest ranking. The company reported 23 employees last year.
Stellar Mold did not respond to multiple inquiries for comment by Plastics News.
