Brunswick, Ohio — Stopol Equipment Sales LLC plans a spring move to a new headquarters in Ohio following years of growth in Brunswick as a reseller of pre-owned and new plastic processing equipment.
Formed in 2009 when employees purchased Stopol Inc., according to its website, Stopol Equipment Sales is building a 25,000-square-foot facility with office and production space in Valley City, about 5 miles from Brunswick.
The new facility will have an 80-ton overhead crane, reinforced concrete to support the weight of the machinery, and a paint booth and wash bay.
"Due to the success of the business, we are in a unique situation where we can custom build a facility to support this growth," Stopol owner John Muzyczka said in a news release.
In addition to equipment sales, Stopol offers equipment rebuilds, brokerage services, asset management and consignment sales.
Valley City was selected because the location will benefit employees and their customers, Muzyczka added.
"It will reduce commute time for employees and give us better control of our production chain," he said. "Additionally, we can be more flexible and adapt to custom needs of our clients. On a personal level, it will allow customers to meet our entire company when they visit to inspect and purchase equipment."
Stopol has a diverse list of clients buying machines and auxiliary equipment for injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, rotational molding and thermoforming.
"The business has been growing over the years, and it's become increasingly apparent that we need our own space," Muzyczka said.
In the meantime, normal production will be maintained until the new facility is completed in spring 2021 by GHI Group Inc., a design-build firm that does business as Janotta & Herner.
