Tekni-Plex Inc. is modernizing the company's Global Innovation Center in Ohio.
Improvements at the Holland, Ohio, facility "further enhance the center's ability to serve as a hub for material science research and development through sophisticated labs, rapid prototyping capabilities, and collaboration spaces," the company said.
"We're committed to making this facility a world-class innovation center for our global materials science teams, customers, and surrounding community," said Oscar Martin, senior vice president of Global Innovation for Tekni-Plex, in a statement.
"Continuing to invest in this hub for ideas and breakthroughs allows Tekni-Plex to remain at the forefront of materials science," Martin said in the statement.
The innovation center's work includes development of new materials for packaging serving the health care, food and beverage, personal care and household markets. The facility also provides learning opportunities for local students.
This includes consumer products such as food and beverage and personal care products — where our solutions enhance customer experiences — as well as healthcare, where our overarching goal is always improving patient outcomes."
Tekni-Plex is based in Wayne, Pa., and has about 7,000 employees in a dozen countries. The company operates two divisions for the health care and consumer product markets.
