Tekni-Plex Inc. is creating a new business unit to serve medical device makers around the world.
Tekni-Plex Medical "will offer products and services formerly supplied separately by its Colorite, Natvar and Dunn businesses," the company said in a statement.
"Our globally integrated operations will help us provide better and faster solutions to meet customer needs," Tekni-Plex CEO Paul Young said.
Colorite, Natvar and Dunn will continue to be used as product brands, and manufacturing will continue at existing locations.
Tekni-Plex Medical, with nine manufacturing sites, provides compounds, tubing and other products for medical devices and other applications.
Tekni-Plex, based in Wayne, Pa., is at No. 53 in Plastics News' most recent ranking of North American pipe, profile and tubing makers, with an estimated $65 million in annual sales.
