The Maumee, Ohio-based Therma-Tru brand has updated its line of fiberglass doors with black grilles between glass (GBG) and added new colors and glass features for other product lines.
The Smooth Star brand now delivers on-trend looks with black GBGs to complement the black window profiles used with modern farmhouse and modern Tudor-style houses, according to Donna Contat, product management director.
The door line also comes with Enlighten-brand flush-glazed privacy and textured glass, which is growing in popularity, Contat added.
"These designs are perfect for adding unique style to the entry and allowing natural light to brighten the interior while maintaining privacy," she said in a virtual booth video accessed through the company website.
In addition to the black GBGs and flushed-glaze glass, Therma Tru also now offers 8-foot, one- and two-panel half-lite doors with an elevated bottom rail to meet requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The goal is to provide more options for single- and multifamily homes, according to Mark Ayers, senior vice president of marketing and product development for Therma-Tru.
Smooth Star doors have a polyurethane foam core that insulates against cold and heat. Therma Tru says the door line is Energy Star qualified; won't warp, rot, dent or rust; and needs little maintenance.
Therma-Tru also introduced arch-lite double doors for its fiberglass Classic Craft-brand premium entries and added shaker styles with the appearance of a mahogany grain and flushed-glaze glass to its Fiber-Classic-brand collection.
Therma-Tru is part of the Outdoors & Security division of Fortune Brands Home & Security Inc.
