Trefoil Group has merged with BrandStar in a combination of business marketing firms.
In a news release, officials with Trefoil in Milwaukee said that the deal "marks BrandStar's flagship B2B agency investment." They added that Trefoil "delivers multi-channel strategic marketing programs that accelerate business performance."
Officials also said Trefoil — founded by CEO Mary Scheibel in 1991 — "is a go-to marketing agency for private equity firms' portfolio companies that must meet stakeholder expectations in condensed time frames."
The firm's client base covers manufacturing, medical device, logistics, health care and consumer packaged goods.
"Over the last five years, B2B marketing has significantly changed," Trefoil President Jill Schroeder said. "It is a multichannel, multi-touch game in a visual and digital world. This merger accelerates our ability to deliver B2B marketing that continues to drive our clients' businesses forward with measurable returns."
Scheibel added that joining BrandStar's family of companies "furthers our ability to do this more effectively and quickly." Access to the portfolio of Pompano, Beach, Fla.-based BrandStar deepens Trefoil's digital and public relations bench strength and expands its creative competencies through BrandStar's virtual and mixed-reality production capabilities, officials said.
BrandStar founder and CEO Mark Alfieri said in the release that Scheibel "has more than three decades of not only success, but the respect of her clients and peers."
