TricorBraun is expanding operations in Australia with the acquisition of Plas-Pak WA, a maker and distributor of plastic packaging.
"Over the last four decades, Plas-Pak WA has built an exceptional reputation for innovation with a strong focus on sustainable products," said Andrew Allsop, managing director, TricorBraun ANZ, in a statement. "This acquisition enables us to build on our customer service commitment in Western Australia while offering our customers expanded services."
The move for Plas-Pak continues the St. Louis-based company's interest in Australia. TricorBraun previously purchased Cormack Packaging in 2021 and PB Packaging in 2022.
PB Packaging distributes both rigid plastic and glass packaging for the health, industrial, food and automotive sectors. Cormack brought its rigid packaging manufacturing operations serving the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, industrial and household cleaning markets.
"At Plas-Pak, our commitment to strong customer service and high-quality products drives everything we do," said Stephen Kiss, commercial and operations advisor for Plas-Pak, in a statement. "We know TricorBraun shares that same passion, and we are delighted to join such a respected packaging leader. We look forward to continuing our service to customers, with TricorBraun's support, resources, and investments in our growth."
TricorBraun now has more than 100 locations and more than 2,000 employees in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, the company said.
Products made by Pla-Pak include bottles, jars, jerrycans, caps, lids, pumps and sprayers. Processes include extrusion blow molding and injection molding.
