TricorBraun Inc. is set to buy Price Container and Packaging Corp., a rigid packaging distributor in the industrial and food markets.
St. Louis-based TricorBraun, a large distributor of primary packaging, announced the acquisition, which was completed Sept. 3, in a release.
All 37 Price Container employees, at both the Willard, Utah, headquarters and southwest Washington locations, will stay on with TricorBraun, including owner Ryan Price who will work on creating a new industrial packaging platform, said Jennifer Frighetto, TricorBraun communications director in an email to Plastics News. The Price Container crew joins TricorBraun's 1,100 employees.
It will do business as Price Container, a TricorBraun company.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
President and CEO of TricorBraun Court Carruthers said the Price Container purchase will add to the company's packaging solutions by expanding its industrial presence.
"As we continue to provide essential, quality packaging, we look forward to serving customers with their industrial and other market needs," he said.
Price Container began operating in 1998 as a family-owned, specialized distributor for packaging supplies.
TricorBraun, which is owned by AEA Investors LP, acquired Packaging Solutions Inc., a rigid packaging distributor based in Minneapolis in January and it is the eighth acquisition in the last few years.
