German hose manufacturer Tristone Flowtech Group has completed an expansion project and broken ground on a new plant at its plastic pipes production facility in Walbrzych, District Lower Silecia, Poland.
The €3 million (US$3.6 million) expansion programme, which aimed at expanding production area and new machinery, started in April 2018 and was completed in June, said Tristone, which is based in Frankfurt, Germany, in a press release.
A central engineering laboratory has also been in operation since February.
“We could reach, with our new plastic pipe products, a significant breakthrough in the market in the last years especially for engine and battery cooling applications,” said Guenter Froelich, president & CEO, Tristone Group.
The company is now investing €7.4 million (US$8.29 million) in a new 6,200-square-meter manufacturing and logistic space to double the site’s hose production capacity in the coming year.
Currently employing 700 in Poland, Tristone expects to expand the number of its staff by 200 in the next two years.
