Tecumseh, Mich. — Uniloy Inc. is having a better year with demand up more than 300 percent for its blow molding machines compared to August 2023.
Company officials announced recent successes at a special event at the headquarters site, including improved efficiencies that has resulted in double-digit margin growth.
Uniloy's purchase of the shuttle mold and technical service portions of FGH Systems, which was announced in May, also was among the causes for celebration. Company officials said the deal to bolster service is critical to Uniloy's North American shuttle strategy market presence.
Uniloy officials recognized several achievements, including a big order for multiple new machines and legacy machine rebuilds. This project will generate business through December 2027, according to the Tecumseh-based company.
At NPE2024 in Orlando, Fla., in May, CEO Gary Riley Sr. said an increased focus on customer service led to the order for five new machines and rebuilds from a major user of Uniloy machines in Asia.
Uniloy officials also recognized machine innovations to decrease energy use and increase output of reciprocating screw machine systems up to 40 percent.
Next month, the machine builder plans to go live with an improved online parts store after reorganizing the warehouse for better tracking.
Company staff had to take a moment and celebrate, Riley said.
"Our company is stronger than ever as we remain focused on our customers and delivering superior results. We've strategically aligned our operations to continue this forward momentum and build solutions that reduce total cost of ownership, increase efficiency, and promote sustainable practices."
In addition to four blow molding machine technologies, Uniloy offers blow molds and associated tooling.
