Manifold & Phalor Inc. and its division that rebuilds blown film dies, U.S. Die & Mold, is investing $4 million into a 30,000-square-foot expansion expected to create 10 jobs in Canal Winchester, Ohio.
The addition to an existing facility should be completed in the spring and will make room for larger working areas, new CNC lathes and mills, and a big die cleaning oven, President Gene Moore said in an email.
He expects to add 10 more positions as part of the plan to increase productivity. The company currently has 80 employees serving packaging producers for the food, consumer products, agricultural, medical and automotive markets.
Moore said U.S. Die & Mold has managed to grow every year since 2007 despite the Great Recession, pandemic and other challenges.
"Whether the market is bustling or slow, customers rely on us to repair their dies while their techs work on other portions of the line," Moore said.
He also attributes the 15 years of growth to strong long-term customer relations, quality workmanship, fair pricing, specialization and short turnaround times.
U.S. Die & Mold has been a part of Manifold & Phalor since 2005.
