With football season underway, Americhem Inc. is spotlighting its Synthetic Turf product line.
(My alma mater Bowling Green Falcons are trying to break a streak of six straight losing seasons. Ohio State University has national championship potential once again, but the less said of the trainwreck of the Cleveland Browns, the better.)
The Synthetic Turf line for Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio-based Americhem provides a full range of custom and standard colors with superior colorfastness and lot-to-lot consistency, officials said. The materials are specifically designed for the unique demands of synthetic turf. The firm's concentrate solutions offer a combination of technologies for "truer, longer-lasting color and high thermal stability."
Americhem provides advanced testing capabilities to ensure product quality that officials said can reduce development time and expense. Dozens of analytical and physical property tests are performed at the firm's R&D labs. Customers can also test products at Americhem's accelerated and outdoor weathering facilities.
For synthetic turf, Americhem has created individual colorants with long-lasting color for greens and logo shades. Officials said that each pigment was evaluated separately for its long-range weathering and physical performance.
Americhem employs more than 900 and is one of North America's 30 largest compounders and concentrate makers, according to Plastics News data.
